Comments
Comments: Great weather day! Blue bird skies. Microspikes up Piper Mtn trail, where a bit of monorail was developing and postholes on the side of it every step. Snowshoes the rest of the day, seemed like best option as this was a late afternoon hike and thing softening. Prolific postholes on all trails, sadly frozen in place, so watch your step. Took detour to south ledges on Piper, nice area, not broken but crust supported me. Ice storm of last week has brought down a bunch of branches and some trees, but trails in pretty good shape, other than blowdowns or red trail.
