Comments
Comments: Extensive logging from trailhead to the border with the wilderness area (1 mile). Many logging roads crossing the Mt Langdon trail. The Mt Langdon trail is now on a wide logging road until it enters the wilderness area.
Frequent postholes up to about two feet deep in the lower elevations of the Mt Langdon trail. Snowshoes are the best bet for now. Snow was soft on the south facing slopes of Oak Hill and Mt Parker. North slope of Oak Hill was crusty snow.
The Mt Parker trail had received less use with snow filling in on old snowshoe tracks. Could not find blazes about halfway up Mt Parker. I think I followed the established path but not sure. The older snowshoe track took a more direct approach at reaching the summit.
Summit ledge was covered in hard packed snow with a bit of drifted snow. Great views from the summit.
It appeared the Mt Parker trail leading towards Mt Resolution was unused.
Encountered no other hikers today.
