| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Room for 5 well parked cars; 4 for the usual. Today one car was parked on the side of the road and given that it is class 6 beyond the trailhead that should be fine. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail has long stretches where it is soft, muddy or had running water, and thus hikers have been treading outside the beaten path. Above 2500' or so there are a stretches of ice and/or soft snow. The lack of signs at 3 of the 4 intersections with the snowmobile trail, confused some of the hikers, and since the snowmobile route up high has a very muddy stretch, I saw a couple people in sneakers that had been below mud line. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Pepper was happy mixing a short hike in with a town dump trip. There's relatively little shade on the trail at the moment, so his dark fur heated up. We one other dog that also was panting, but there's plenty of water. |

| Bugs: |
House type flies on top. |

| Comments: |
We prefer the bushwack up Stinson from the other side, but the trail is much faster and different. Still it needs to dry out some more before it's ready for prime time, and it could use some more signs to keep the unwary off the snowmobile trails. The one true shared section is very soft. It was so nice to switch to the summer pack, gear and clothes on such a great day. |
