Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Three crossings, all straightforward rockhops at current water level. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns, esp. on upper part of the SBT. Most were small (folding saw suitable), a few larger (3' bowsaw suitable). A couple of big ones (axe material), but these can be stepped over. Just 2 or 3 of the strainer-type blowdowns were a bit vexing. Brushing generally good, though needs some touching up here and there. Signage okay. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Looked okay for doggies. |
|
| Bugs: |
None to speak of -- a bit breezy and misty. |

| Comments: |
Trail generally in good shape. Some ice (and a little bit of snow) on final +/- .4 mile (Sandwich Mountain Trail). Some may want light traction, though I did okay without today (though I had microspikes along for the ride). |
