Comments
Comments: On ascent the Starr King trail was mainly dry with a few muddy areas at elevations below the traverse. No deep mud sections. On descent all surfaces were wet from the steady showers. Drainage ditches were cleaned out of debris. Only significant obstruction on the trail was down slope of Starr King summit where a large evergreen truck crosses the trail at about three feet above the ground. Lots of ferns on the ridge between Starr King and Mt Waumbek.

A good viewpoint can be accessed just beyond the summit of Mt Waumbek off to the right of the Kilkenny trail. Limited views of the northern Presidentials in the AM today. Some orange tape on a few trees low on the Starr King trail may signify future trail work.
