Water Crossing Notes: wading necessary at several points and some running water in the trail, all in first mile from fish hatchery--probably due to heavy rains immediately prior to hike. rest of hike dry.

Trail Maintenance Notes: some singular blowdowns. one largish blowdown region on upper east slope of n. weeks--glad i had my gps to speed getting back onto trail

Bugs: not bad except in the wet area near york pond trailhead at fish hatchery

Comments: judging from the large amount of moose poop and tracks, kilkenny ridge trail appears to be primarily a true "herd" path. even the blowdown bypasses seem to be created by moose. unfortunately did not see a moose.

these were 87 & 88, and hope to hit 100 with fort by end of august. anyone out there want to do scaur ridge via ski slope this summer?
