| Comments: |
Note on the Bushwack to the Klem Summit- at the junction of Klem Loop and Quarry Trail (blazed in white, no sign for it) find the tree with two red diamonds and the rock below with a white blaze-- the herdpath (ill defined through blueberry bush segment) starts there heading west (opposite direction of quarry trail) and look carefully as you go for some periodic blue flagging tape on select trees as it winds to the tree with Klem sign.
Belkanp Range between Round Pond and Klem Loop Trails, and Klem Loop itself has very narrow bushy sections with Ferns--not necessarily a navigation issue, but gives you a fern wash and ticks. ($3 map from Gilford Library right off 11A on Belknap Mountain Road a great investment to carry-- especially away from the popular peaks)
As always, the Belknaps exceed expectations. |
