the small stream crossings were all easy. |

i managed to re-hang the sign at livermore pass quite crudely with a "rock hammer", but a better fix may be needed long term. |

bugs were annoying when stopped, particularly so on the descent later in the day. |

found a couple deflated mylar balloons high up on the mountain. |

livermore trail in nice shape. some scattered muddy sections on the way to the pass, but nothing too bad. headed up kancamagus from the pass through generally open woods with one exception when i decided to cross directly over the east bump on the way in. made sure to circle around the bump on the descent.
first time hiking up to livermore pass. a real pleasant walk. the bushwack was actually pretty nice as well (minus the one nasty section i got into on the way up). very pretty woods once up on the main ridge. the cool breeze up high was much appreciated. nice day in the woods.
