Comments: The "rock with the stepping stones" used to find the start of the BW was easy to find, very obvious, about a mile and one half down the Carrigain Notch Trail. Once there, continue on the trail, counting your steps - by "50" you will have turned a corner and found the drainage where the BW is usually begun. Bushwacked until hitting the herd path that leads to the talus field. Lost the path in some blowdowns, but picked it up at the top right hand corner of the blow down area. Herd path was easy to follow from here to the talus, a bit tougher after, passing through scrub as the trail also got steeper. Very definite herd path to the canister once things leveled out again.
