Comments
Comments: the forest road is in real nice shape. we followed it a bit further than i believe most people do to where we began our bushwack. we found generally open woods with a fair amount of hobblebush and rough footing and a bit below the ridge started hitting rocks/cliffs. we slabbed north to better woods and found a herd path that we followed up to a shoulder on the ridge. from there sporadic herd paths led up to the false summit. the rest of the way to the main summit there was a pretty clear and generally well defined herd path, though i still managed to walk us off of it a couple of times on the descent. heading down we continued on the lower herd path until it petered out (rather than trying to re-trace our steps) and then bushwacked the rest of the way to the forest road coming out near a prominent grassy clearing.
nice day for this peak.

great temps and stellar views from the summit viewpoint. the walking once up on the ridge was especially nice. thanks to mark for a good hike.
