Auto road to summit is closed in the winter. Snow on the road is hard packed by hikers and some snowmobile activity. Some icy patches on the steep section just before the summit where the wind blows across the road. Microspikes helpful. Cold on the summit this morning 10 F with a 15 MPH wind. Great sunrise!
Both the Wapack and Marion Davis Trail have been tracked (at least at both ends). Not sure what condition they are in as I went up/down the auto road. |
