came in from Rt 115 exit to Rt 302 and Cherry Mt road had been graded, excellent shape |

snowmachine trail bridges over all crossings still strong and intact |

7 or 8 spots where large yellow birch branches or striped maples had fallen across the trail but were removed upon return |

very gentle approach and very wide trail |

a few hornets checking around |

thanks to PeterC, for checking out Mahoosuc so I did not have to!! changed my plan and headed to Mt. Martha and Owl's Head from Cherry Mt. road..the old Black Brook trail jct. is very noticeable and someday will check that too..saw moose and bears tracks in mud looking like they may have had a meeting, sure the moose outran the bear.. |
