Comments
Comments: Peabody Brook Trail was in excellent shape although I didn't hike the last half mile. I was short on time so I decided to do a bushwhack up to Wocket Ledge and cut off the rest of the Peabody Trail and some of the Mahoosuc Trail. In the end I don't think it saved me any time since I ran into very thick spruce

Trail was very muddy across much of the Mahoosuc Trail with several blowdowns but nothing show stopping. Excellent view a little west of the Cascade Mountain summit. I went over Mount Hayes but behing short on time I didn't make the .1 mile trip to the true summit. I took the Centennial Trail back down. It had a couple of small washouts but nothing serious. I'm not sure if that was from Irene. It may have been preexisting.

Not too sure of the condition of the last mile since I was coming out around dark although I got through it without having to take out my headlamp so I would say the condition of the trail was fine.
