| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at Jose's bridge trailhead......the road in from bridge to trailhead took a hit with storm Irene. We made it in an outback (with a good driver) but I wouldn't take a lower clearance car in there. Standing water, big ruts and lots of larger rocks. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
All crossings were made by rock hopping......carefully. At one crossing on guinea pond trail, a make shift bridge with some log debris got us over. Wonder if a couple crossings were widened by the storm |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some blowdowns on all trails, but nothing too major. |

Great loop. About 13 miles. Looked easy on the map, actually had quite a bit of climbing in there!! Black mtn. pond and trail were beautiful. The trail towards the top has some great ledges with great views! Didn't see anyone else all day. The 0.2 side path to Guinea Pond is basically obliterated by beaver activity, you can go about 200 yards, (maybe) then it is a big swamp. |
