| Comments: |
There are many new "bog bridges", which help make this hike a lot more pleasant. There was snow and/or ice encrusted water almost all the way along Nancy Pond Trail in the morning; by the afternoon the trail was clearing, especially after the falls towards the trailhead. The herd path was in great shape, but with wet snow. We used micro-spikes on the way down because the snow/wet leaves were very slippery and the trail is steep in sections; we eventually took them off because of snow clumping underneath. Weather was great. Summit views were great. |
