Some significant floes of ice on the upper ledges of Orange Mountain on the Vistamont Trail -- careful foot placement necessary (or, light traction). Side slope ledges just before the summit on the Vistamont Trail are bone dry, though. NOTE: the Hurricane Gap Spur Trail leading from South Peak northeast to the Hurricane Gap Trail is no longer maintained and given the faded condition of the rock blazes, may be difficult to follow. |
