Unfrozen ground up through the hardwoods,above, frozen ground with light sugar snow dusting the boral portions. Very good barebooting. On the ridge, treetops were heavily frosted, beautiful in contrast with the bare trail. Only one other small group on the hill. Excellent wind protection on this hike,with southern exposure and great Presi views from the lookouts today. |
