| Comments: |
Started at the eastern terminus of the Elwell Trail, near Wellington State Park. Trail is postholed/tracked out below Little Sugarloaf (there's about a foot to foot and a half of new powder here). It's now smoothed out a bit with snowshoes. Beyond Little Sugarloaf, across Sugarloaf and then down to the snowmobile trail/Bear Mountain Road extension, the trail is now broken by...a single pair of Howler Monkey snowshoes. On this section, there are snow depths ranging from a light crust over granite ledge to two feet (most of the trail) to three-foot-plus drifts...enjoy! |
