there was not much snow and easy going on the lower part which of course is pretty flat...barebooted up and put micro spikes on for descent..really liked the peek a boo looks at Sachem and Jennings Peaks on the way up..SMT was hard packed thin layer of snow with ice underneath..SBT down low was very snow free but frozen..took Yellow Jacket and Pine Flat XC trails back to trailhead..high clouds the same color as mts made views ok today, no contrast..but that's ok! |
