You can still pull off the side of the Kanc., but as snow depths increase this will be more difficult. Hopefully the state will plow the shoulder in this area. Logging limits off road sites. |

Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Wet Trail, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Rocks were icy but all were easy to cross |

A number of blowdowns. Some were stepovers, others unders and some arounds. |

Plenty of water down low but none after the steeps of PBBTr. Cody the dog didn't seem to mind. |

| Comments: |
Micro spike or Crampons were the choice of traction. Way too rocky for snowshoes. On the steep sections there is ICE. There were ways around currently but that will get progressively harder. Bushwhack to Scaur Peak was open (except for "summit cone"). Follow the moose and bear tracks. |
