There is some sort of traction device at the trailhead (resting on the sign). I am not familiar with it... an orange something between a stabilicer and a yak-trak. We left it where it was. |

Wind forecast was nasty, so it became a "Waumbek day". Perfect footbed made for a really fast trip. Microspikes the entire way - car to car. Met only one other person along the way today. We'll call him "Jeb's person". Looked like he and Jeb were having a good day too! Some clouds descended on us near the summit, so we didn't bother to go looking for views, but good exercise and good post-hike pizza. Thanks to Silverfox for a great day out! |
