Comments
Comments: Welllllll this morning was changing my mind on every hike I was doing. I got to the cog lot to look at mwob summit weather… the winds did not look in my favor for jefferson, so last minute change. I barebooted til the wildcat A junction, it was so cold and solid of a trail it was nuts! Spiked up after that. It was ice and hard pack but for boots… not flat snowshoes. I met a girl with no traction coming down without traction and I was hoping I would not see her injuried later. Ouuf! thankfully I did not. I did opt for an out and back and found that the sun softened up any open spots to the sun. I took the rock spikes off at 2600’ when I could not justify anymore walking on rocks. I didn’t posthole, only slid around a little on the melting slush. Nice and quick trip with less wind!
