Comments
Comments: Bushwhacked up the north face of Downing Mountain from Stinson Lake Road, initially following the National Forest boundary. Generally open woods. Generally a good crust on top of maybe half a foot of snow - snowshoes generally floated, but sometimes broke through and sank an inch. Bareboots would definitely posthole.

Good views of Stinson Lake, Stinson Mountain, Mt. Cardigan, and Carr Mountain (as well as South Peak of Moosilauke) from the near-summit ledge.
