Comments
Comments: Crawford Connector and Crawford Path, packed highway.

Above Treeline and en route to Eisenhower has some drifting but generally is very solid. One or two icy spots on Ike's cone, but microspikes got me through it okay.

Back to Pierce, where there are a couple meandering paths to the summit. Past Pierce on Webster Cliff Trail it's more drifted and less travelled but still solid underneath, a nice trough.

From Mizpah out to Mt. Jackson it's about the same, maybe two inches to plow through in places, but really, great conditions for microspikes - I used them all day. A little ice on the steeps getting on to Jackson, nothing serious.

Coming down Webster-Jackson Trail was a breeze with a similar surface to that on the Crawford path, if a bit steeper in places.

Temps were either side of 20F on the ridge most of the afternoon. Highest winds were maybe 20 mph on Eisenhower, very light on Jackson.
Met a guy almost 1/2 way to Pierce doing the Traverse southbound, he started @ 3:30 a.m. Asked if he was going to Jackson, too, and he didn't think so, but there was one set of crampon tracks ahead of me so maybe he got inspired- It was an incredible day on the hill. Saw very few people, mostly in the distance. 5:29 roundtrip.
