Comments
Comments: Continuing my winter night project. With Carl Tremblay. Started from Pine Bend at 8:00PM Sat. night. Summitted the Try(s) and Sleeper and camped short of the Downes Brook junction at 3:30AM. Clear w/ substantial moon for the wee hours...temps in low singles. Alternately slept, brewed, ate sunday day and broke camp at 5:40PM. Summitted Passaconaway at 10:00PM...temps low teens below and very windy. Clear w/ insane stars. Back to the car at 1:20AM and in Boston by 4:30.

Forgot our micros and rued it the entire trip. Trails were hard-packed/icy and with 40+lb packs it was tiring work to get good footing going up and down. Great hike though and the project continues! Thanks, Carl, because I won't do the multi-nights solo!
