Very little snow, even higher up. Lower trails had ' dust over crust ' in areas. Kinsman pond trail had not seen any activity in a while. It was slightly broken. We used crampons / microspikes and fared well. Fishin' Jimmy had a few significant ice flows on the steep sections. We managed to get around them via tree hugging or mini bushwhack. Even with crampons going down FJ in those sections are challenging.
Light wind and moderate temps, blue sky with occasional clouds. Nice day to be out. |
