Road to parking area is clear and dry. Parking area was frozen at start, slightly muddy at end of hike. |

Trail is in great shape. One blowdown which is high enough off the trail that it's a non-issue. |

Saw four dog's over the course of the hike; all having a good time. |

Started up trail a little after 9:00. Snow had an ice crust that could support weight without breaking. Thought about using microspikes but ultimately didn't need them. On way down from summit at 12:30 or so the temps had risen making the snow soft which was a benefit in that it allowed us to walk in it an brake our descent rather than walk on the icy center of the trail. A great hike. |
