We wore our microspikes, but snowshoes would have been a better choice as they would have bridged the shallow postholes that gave us foot fatigue. A light hiker could still walk off trail on the crust without breaking through, about 150 pound limit. As always, there was a very cold breeze up on the tower, but great views. |
