We parked by Rt. 113 and walked the mile in along the Old Highway, but the dirt road is maintained all the way in to the Double Head trail head, and there is room for several cars. |

The trail was much more dry than we had expected. We went prepared for mud and ice. There was some mud (avoidable)... and only a couple of square feet of old mono-rail up on the ridge. I wore 3-season boots, but could have gotten away with summer boots. |
