having not done Black Mt. via the Black Mt. trail, today was a good day to get it done..still very windy and almost needed to use a face mask..great views from the summit ledges..barebooted up, used microspikes down with a few areas up higher covered with ice floes, and about an inch of new snow from start to finish..still cold when we came out around 1145 AM but sun was melting the snow down low..sure this trail will be muddy when it warms up... |
