| Comments: |
From parking lot to Hammond junction, trail was generally dry with a stretch of mud above the water crossing. A slight dusting of snow in the shade. Some avoidable ice prior to junction.
After junction, consistent dusting of snow and extended patches of blue ice. There was never more than a half an inch of snow. We barebooted without issue, but some may prefer light traction. Saw one person with Micros and another jogging with sneakers, both doing just fine. The tricky ledge scramble with the metal spikes was bare and dry.
The final stretch after the Brook Trail junction had ice in the shaded portion (Micros would help, but caution would still be needed), but the exposed ledges were dry. |
