Comments
Comments: Well I had to break trail this morning after overnight snow and morning snow in the notch. At the lower elevations there was about an inch of fresh powder. I was using micro spikes for the trip. Going up Avalon was tricky but spikes did the job. After submitting Mt. Avalon the first time, the snow was still falling but not heavily.

Headed up Mt. Field there was about 3-4 inches of fresh powder. This is where the postholes we're becoming a pain in spikes. With the fresh powder you could barely see them. The ridge line between Field and Willey had even more snow, about 5-6 inches. Snowshoes would be better if attempting the ridge. When I started to head back all the flurries cleared and luckily for me blue skies came out and have me grand views of the Pemi and the Presidentials on my way back.
