Comments
Comments: Up to Clark/Hurricane Gap Trail junction, trail is very nicely packed (light traction only). Beyond here, to either the Warden's Cabin via Clark Trail or South Peak via Hurricane Gap and South Ridge Trails, trail is broken but drifted over in some spots -- flotation recommended. On summit cone and also on South Peak, trail turns to boilerplate with some ice and, for the most part, decent snow cover (this will certainly not be the case after the warm temperatures and rain forecast for Sunday evening/Monday). Recommend light traction here -- I wore MSR Denalis the entire way and had no problems on ice/boilerplate/drifts.
