The lower woods were very dry. Once into the evergreens, it was a bit muddy in places, but still much better than expected. Plenty of dry pine-needle path. Once we got to the spring, then it was on-and-off icy monorail up to Starr King and across to Waumbek. Microspikes were not *required* today, but they certainly helped increase our pace. A very nice day out! |
