Comments
Comments: trail is in good shape up to table mountain. mostly dry with a couple of wet sections. the ledges higher up were slippery if wet and covered in spots with ball bearing like rocks you have to watch out for.

beyond table mountain the trail is less maintained down into the the col with big attitash with some wet sections along the way. once up on the ridge of big attitash the trail is markedly less maintained with rougher footing and blowdown and is often grown in and herd path like in places. there were a couple of wet and soggy sections as well. that said, it was generally easier to follow than i would have expected based on things i have heard over the years. there is some faded old blazing along the way, some yellow and some blue, but not very consisitent.

there looked to be some relatively fresh blazes leaving the summit towards the moat mountain trail so that section of the trail may be receiving more maintenance. once back at table mountain i decided to hike to its actual high point and stumbled upon a vague herd path that led much of the way to the top.

a good day for this hike. nice views from table mountain. a real cool spot. had been meaning to hike these peaks for years and finally got around to it. nice to run into tom and friend on the way down from table. great to be out.
