| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All rock-hoppable |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All conditions were good on the more well-traveled routes, but some of the less-traveled trails had a few blow-downs. Nothing that couldn't be bypassed. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Tough going for dogs above treeline in this part of the Whites. The rest of the day would have been a breeze - lots of water and decent footing. |
| Bugs: |
Blackflies and mosquitoes swarming on and off in the woods throughout the day (and in the parking lot) but none biting. "Adams Bugs" on the summit, but they are not a single bug but about 10 different species probably found nowhere else. :-) |

| Comments: |
Lots of wildflowers at the lower elevations. Virtually no people on any of the trails we were on today... saw Chandler Fall, Crag Camp, Knight's Castle, Emerald Bluff and the waterfall on Cascade Brook. Unbelievable day out! Thanks Becca for the great red-lining day! |
