| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
There's a wide spot at the end of the road for 3-4 cars. The "trail closed" sign is on the gate, but nothing going on right now. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Came in from the Lime Kiln side. The trail doesn't seem to get much use, and is in great shape. The "timber management" roads at the bottom make it a little confusing... Just use your spidey-sense ( and the yellow or orange blazes). |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
The trail part would be gat... Wouldn't recommend dogs on the off-trail sections. |

| Bugs: |
Thick. |

| Comments: |
The Hogsback is stunning: geological features and views. There are a lot of herd paths that make the going easier in many places, but you have to be careful or you'll end up following them to a place you don't want to be. Stay on or close to the ridge. Pay attention to the map and avoid the parts where the little lines are very, very close together ;-) |
