Comments: Missing dog found, safe and sound. For those who might be interested, there's a full description of the frightening missing-dog episode on ROT in the "Views from the Paws" conference.

About the trail conditions specifically, the Mt. Kinsman Trail is very packed right now, and Microspikes will work fine. The Kinsman Ridge Trail is more powdery, and while Microspikes are probably adequate you may prefer snowshoes. That's what I wore up there.

Spur to Bald Knob is broken out as is the short spur to the Flume at the third brook crossing.
