| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Large lot, nearly full at 12 PM when I arrived with a few cars along 113 |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All three crossings on this loop easy, Charles Brook is actually quite low |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in great shape; really like the new bog bridges up top that now get you through what was quite a mud pit! Lots of materials at trail junctions up top indicate some major work is getting done! |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Easy trail with exception of some steep ledges right below Eagle Crag that might cause some difficulty. Water along most of this loop except up top and heading down top 2 miles of Bicknell Ridge; heading up Baldface Circle to Eagle crag a number of trickles and a small stream, one small stream on Bicknell Ridge about .5 miles down from Eagle Cascades junction at view ledge and of course Charles Brook down low. |
| Bugs: |
Heard a few but not bothersome, a nice light breeze up top kept any that might have been around at bay. |

| Comments: |
A hot and humid day, almost oppresive while in the trees but fortunaltely a nice light breeze up top to cool things down. A nice easy loop up Baldface Circe and down Bicknell ridge; usual damp rock on Baldface Circle between Charles Brook crossing and lower junction for Bicknell ridge, a few muddy spots on Baldface circle just below the steep section below Eagle Crag. Nice albeit hazy views up top; walked the last mile on Baldface Circle in a thunderstorm that dropped a good amount of rain and left lots of water on the trail but had stopped by the time I got to the paking lot. |
