Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The small parking for the Bunnell trail was overflowing. The larger parking for the Unknown Pond tail was almost empty.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossings were easy but beware of slippery rocks 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Unknown Pond trail is over grown in places. The foot bridges were mostly broken. The logging road section of the Bunnell trail is largely overgrown. There were several blowdowns on the Kilkenny Ridge trail.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: There was plenty of water for drinking all along the loop.

Bugs: Bugs were not a factor today.

Comments
Comments: We had a bear encounter on the Unknown Pond trail. There was a brief face to face until Lauky barked and the bear turned and ran.



There was a VFTT Hall of Fame representation on the summit today looking after the flag.
