Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

Water crossings were not an issue. |

Trails are in very good shape. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Most of the streams were bone dry -- low flow in Bailey Brook, as well. However, this was two or three hours before the first of yesterday afternoon's/evening's heavy rain/downpours. |

No -- I repeat -- no bugs. |

We summited Cardigan at noon; unfortunately, the cloud cover was too thick to make out any of the flags (Flags on the 48) on nearby 4000-footers. |
