Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: the main crossing on the Drakes Brook trail near the Fletcher's Cascade trail was crossable with care
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of small blowdowns on the Algonquin Tr. we tossed them aside as we hiked. One large blowdown on the Drakes brook trail that was not an issue.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Cooper had no problems with the rock scrambles on the Algonquin Tr. but I can see where many dogs would have difficulty with certain rocky and ledgy sections.
Bugs
Bugs: none
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: a soggy red bandana was seen on our descent via the Drakes Brook trail but nobody picked it up.

Comments
Comments: My first time on the Algonquin Trail. An exciting way to ascend Sandwich Mountain with lots of opportunities for sweeping views of the Sandwich Wilderness along the rocky scrambles and ledges. We did see a slight trace of snow under the trees along the sides of the trails at the higher elevations. Nice hike with Carl's group.
