There is still one huge Blowdown on the Foster Tract - Milton Gowdy Trail - They will have to hike in with a big chain saw to get that cleared. |

Met up with Tom who is getting back in to hiking so I can get him up north for this Winter. Started out at 7:00 a.m. It was cold at about 32 degrees. Too bright even at that early time for pictures or the the rest of the day also. Leaves are down (95%). Take care on the trail with the rocks being covered by leaves. It is slippery. That one huge blowdown across the trail is dangerous as it is across the trail and is only hanging on by leaning on another dead tree. Take care going under it. I hope it comes down at night or they get there with the chain saw to remove it. |
