All significant crossings bridges, including the first covered bridge for hikers that I recall seeing, in Burlingame State Park, over Perry Healy Brook. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This southernmost 12-mile stretch of the North-South Trail was in fine shape and well-marked. |

Saw a few. |

| Bugs: |
They didn't bother me, but my hiking companion felt the need for a little DEET at one point. |

| Comments: |
The southernmost 12 miles of the North-South Trail, which Cumulus and I completed in our sixth hike. It started with a 2.75-mile road walk and ended with a 1.4-mile road walk, but they weren't bad roads and the trails in between were quite nice. |
