Comments
Comments: Beautiful Day. It was 26 degrees at the trailhead. I ran in to Jim the Caretaker who I have known for years. I have not seen him in a while. Great guy and he does a lot of work to keep hiking spot in the excellent shape it is in. Ran in to Jeff also on the trail. Both of us opted not to head up to the Whites today which was a good idea. He usually does a lot of ice climbing up there so I get reports from him on the conditions. No wildlife today. It was cold when the wind started blowing on the Foster Tract. It is nice to have a great hiking place like this in RI.
