Comments: Buck Hill Management Area (Burrillville)

We did the 6-mile route described in Ken Weber's book Weekend Walks in Rhode Island (the older edition is called Walks & Rambles in Rhode Island). You'll need the book, or a topo map, or other navigational devices, or ESP to find your way around in here. The hike is mostly on rugged dirt/gravel roads and partly on footpaths. It includes a marsh and many fields that encourage wildlife, an old cellar hole, and the CT-MA-RI tristate marker. This is a major hunting area in the season, so it is safest to avoid hiking here between the second Saturday in October and the last day of February.
