Got early start & up to summit before 7AM. Followed blaze to first aid
station on top but discovered porcupines and other unseen animals have
taken control of the building. Found summit and got some great pictures.
Vermont is my favorite NE state but it's a shame that they sacrifice their
mountaintops. Right after Pico Camp a thru hiker named G caught up with me.
He was blue blazing to the Long Trail Inn for breakfast after spending the
night at Cooper Lodge. We went down together & he talked about his hike
so far. Very cool. |
