Went up LT with moderate grade but mostly up. After crossing ski trail,
it's a rocky finish. Great 360 views even thru the haze. Things got
a little confusing at this point. I found some blaze leading down but
then nothing. The LTG wasn't much help. A couple coming up the ski slope
said they had left the woods further down. Long story short, I did an extra
mile & about 700 ft climbing before finding the herd path. Once you come
off the summit, go to outer ski trail. There is a one blaze on the fence and the trail goes behind there. The herd path goes left about 30 feet later. It is easy to follow but tiring dodging mud and blowdowns. The
canister is gone but the string is still there. All the extra work and
humidity took its toll & I made my way very slowly back down. Last peak
bag for list. Vermont is done. 6 to go.
