|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
One crossing on Waterbury Tr. easily crossed; only issue here may be wet rocks under almost all conditions. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Recent blazing and brushing out on White Rock Tr.. New bog bridges on Stowe Pinnacle Tr. Earlier work by GMC on Waterbury Tr.. Much improved conditions from 10 years back on this loop. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Talked to a retired USFS employee who said water opportunities on the Skyline Tr. were usually not available. Few ledges that would be difficult for many dogs. |
|
| Bugs: |
Lots flying around but not troublesome. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Found--Hikers on the Skyline Tr.--first time meeting any. |

| Comments: |
This loop booked out at 9.7 miles but a tough 9.7. Worst sections today were the White Rock Tr.; which had lots of slick rocks (humidity and recent rains) and the Hogback Tr. which had some slick, steep spots to deal with on way down. Mix of conditions from nice and dry to slippery requiring 5WD to keep me from going down on my 5th wheel. |
