| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Winter parking lot is huge and easy; the summer lot is about a 1/2 mile farther on a road that you'd want high-clearance for. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossing the outlet of the Beaver Meadows/Pond requires at least one wet foot, or more creativity than I had. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Beaver Meadows Trail is very muddy in places, though wide enough to avoid most of it. Other trails in good shape, though muddy in sections. |

| Comments: |
Unexpectedly good views from Whiteface Shelter, Whiteface Peak, a few outlooks around Morse, and on top of Madonna/Smuggler's Notch Ski Resort. The lower sections around the meadows were unexpectedly disappointing. Chilcoot trail up to the LT is very very steep. Fun hike altogether. 11-12 miles total loop. |
